1975 Rule V Draft
The major league 1975 Rule V Draft was held December 8 in Hollywood, FL. Only 5 players were drafted by major league teams at a cost of $25,000 each, including one delayed selection announced 12 hours after the regular draft.
Only 7 players were taken in the minor league portions of the draft. The St. Louis Cardinals' organization selected both players in the AAA portion, while the California Angels' affiliate took four of the five players in the AA phase, with the Boston Red Sox chain taking the other.
