1945 Rule V Draft
The major league 1945 Rule V Draft was held November 1 in the Commissioner's office in Chicago, IL. 10 players were drafted by major league teams in a meeting that took 8 minutes to complete. 8 players were selected from AA clubs for $7500, 1 player from A ball for $6000 and 1 player from B for $4000. The first pick was Frank Demaree, followed by Lou Novikoff.
