Biographical Information[edit]

Pitcher Ted Barnicle was drafted in the 1st round of the 1975 amateur draft by the San Francisco Giants. He pitched three seasons in the Giants chain reaching high-A ball in 1977 and leading the California League with 13 losses. Barnicle was drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the minor league draft in December 1977, but did not play in 1978. The Dodgers released him and he signed with Chicago White Sox organization for 1979. Barnicle missed the second half of April in both 1979 and 1980, but made it to AAA in 1980 with the Iowa Oaks. Barnicle never made the majors.
