The 2004 Little League World Series was won by Willemstad. The Netherlands Antilles thus became the 7th nation to win a Little League World Series, following the USA, Mexico, Japan, Taiwan, South Korea and Venezuela. In the finale, Willemstad beat Thousand Oaks, CA 5-3, handing the Californians their only loss in 23 games that year. 35,000 fans turned out for the finale, which saw Carlos Pineda fan 11 in five shutout innings before fading in the 6th. Jonathan Schoop relieved and saved the game. A 2-run homer by Jurickson Profar was a key blow. In addition to Schoop and Profar, the club included Chris Garia, another future pro.

Randal Grichuk of third-place Richmond, TX tied the LLWS record for hits (12) and also led the event with four home runs. Michael Conforto played for Redmond, WA. Taiwan's team included Wei-Chung Wang and Chi-Hung Hsu.
