1962 Little League World Series
The 1962 Little League World Series was the 16th Little League World Series. Teams came from Stoney Creek, ON, Tokyo, Poitiers Post (France), Monterrey, Nuevo León, San Jose, CA, Kankakee, IL, Pitman, NJ and Del Rio, TX. In the finale, the Moreland team from San Jose no-hit the Jaycee team from Kankakee with T. Campbell striking out 11 and allowing only one walk and one hit batsman. D. Brewster did well in a losing cause, fanning 10. The Series featured the only future major leaguer to play in a LLWS from 1959-1966, Larvell Blanks of the Valley Verde club from Del Rio.
