1955 Little League World Series
The 1955 Little League World Series was the 9th Little League World Series. Teams involved were San Diego, CA, Alexandria, LA (the first Louisiana team), Winchester, MA, Hamtramck, MI (the first entry from Michigan), Merchantville, NJ, Glens Falls, NY and Morrisville, PA. In the finale, Morrisville beat Merchantville, 4-3. 3B M. Foulke went 2 for 3 with a run and a RBI. V. Straszyski won in relief of T. Kaczor. H. Harrison fanned 13 for the losing side, while T. Trotman took the defeat in relief.
