1953 Little League World Series
The 1953 Little League World Series was the 8th Little League World Series. It included teams from Vancouver, BC, Birmingham, AL, Little Rock, AR, Joliet, IL, Newton, MA, Schenectady, NY, Camp Hill, PA and Front Royal, VA. Joe Dintaman of Camp Hill had a six-hit game. In the finale, Birmingham beat Schenectady, 1-0, as J. Sims (7 K, 2 H, 0 BB in 6 IP) outdueled S. Buckheim (10 K in 4 IP) in the first 1-0 finale in LLWS history.
