2023 Little League World Series

The 2023 Little League World Series is the 76th Little League World Series. It was the first edition of the tournament in which a team from Cuba was able to participate. El Segundo, CA defeated Willemstad 6-5 in the title game.

  • Santiago de Veraguas, Veraguas 4, Brno 0. Omar Vargas drives in all four runs and strikes out all 12 batters he faces as part of a combined no-hitter.
  • Smithfield, RI 3, Henderson, NV 1. Connor Curtis fans 15.
  • Tokyo 1, Bayamo, Granma 0. Cuba makes its LLWS debut with nary a hit off Hinata Uchigaki, who whiffs 13 to keep up the theme of dominant pitchers. Yohei Yamaguchi doubles in the only run.
  • Needville, TX 2, Media, PA 1. DJ Jablonski strikes out 10, the lowest total by any of today's victorious starting pitchers!

  • Tijuana, Baja California 2, Tokyo 0. Bernardo Partida pitches a three-hitter to outduel Yohei Yamaguchi.
  • Needville, TX 1, Seattle, WA 0. The staffs combine for 29 strikeouts in a superb pitching duel. In the 9th inning, Easton Ondruch drives in Corbin Riddle wiht a sacrifice fly for the game's lone run; Ondruch then goes 1-2-3 to wrap it up in the bottom of the inning.
  • Taoyuan City 9, Willemstad 1. Taiwan finally allows a run but has another easy win.
  • El Segundo, CA 5, Nolensville, TN 3. Louis Lappe hits a key homer for California while Lucas McCauley's 2-run shot had put Nolensville ahead briefly.

August 24[edit]

  • Willemstad 4, Tijuana, Baja California 2. Curacao uses three straight bases-loaded walks to join Taiwan in the international final, hoping for better success against that team than the prior day.
  • El Segundo, CA 2, Seattle, WA 1. California joined Texas in the US final as Brody Brooks saves it for Dylan McRoberts.

August 26[edit]

  • Willemstad 2, Taoyuan City 0. Curacao avenges their loss to Taiwan, as the Taiwanese powerhouse falls after outscoring opponents 25-1 and allowing two hits entering the game. It is a pitching duel, with Curacao having two hits to Taiwan's one in a match of baseball-loving islands.
  • El Segundo, CA 6, Needville, TX 1. In another instance on a team avenging a loss, Louis Lappe fans 10, drives in five and homers to power California to the US title. He outduels D.J. Jablonski.

August 27[edit]

  • Taoyuan City 10, Needville, TX 0. After its one loss, Taiwan is back in dominant form in the consolation game.
  • El Segundo, CA 6, Willemstad 5. Louis Lappe hit a walk-off home run in the sixth inning to secure the title. For the second straight year, the US beats Curacao in the finale. Nasir El-Ossais hits a grand slam for Willemstad.
