1957 Little League World Series
The 1957 Little League World Series was the first Little League World Series to be won by a team from outside the USA. The four entries were La Mesa, CA, Bridgeport, CT, Escanaba, MI and Monterrey, Nuevo León. In the finale, Angel Macias of Monterrey threw a perfect game, fanning 11, to beat La Mesa, 4-0. L. Riley took the loss.
