1973 Little League World Series
The 1973 Little League World Series was the 27th Little League World Series. The teams playing were Surrey, BC, Tainan, Bitburg Air Base (Germany), Monterrey, Nuevo León, Tucson, AZ, Tampa, FL, Birmingham, MI and Colonie, NY. Tainan had perhaps the most dominant LLWS ever, not allowing a single hit or earned run in their three games. Ching-Hui Huang threw a perfect game against Germany in the opener, Wen-Li Kuo followed with a no-hitter in a 27-0 romp of Tampa, then Huang came back in the finale with a 16-K, 1-walk no-hitter against Tucson. Pai-Sheng Cheng set a LLWS record with hits in 8 straight at-bats as well, including going 4 for 4 with 3 runs and 3 RBI in the finale. The only future major leaguer was Tucson's Ed Vosberg.
