1955 NPB All-Star Game
There were two 1955 NPB All-Star Games and they were split between the Pacific League and Central League.
Game 1[edit]
Game 1 was held on July 2 at Osaka Stadium in front of 30,032 fans. Motoji Takuwa, Yasuo Yonekawa, Atsushi Aramaki and Hidefumi Kawamura combined to shut out the CL while striking out 3; they only allowed 3 singles. The PL also didn't have many scoring chances as their entire team recorded 4 hits, but Kazuhiro Yamauchi's homer in the 4th inning was enough for the PL to get the win. He was the MVP winner. Kazunori Nishimura struck out 6 in 3 innings for the CL and Masaichi Kaneda added 7, but they still lost the game.
