1962 NPB All-Star Game
There were two 1962 NPB All-Star Games and the Pacific League swept for the second straight year. It was the only repeat sweep until 1999-2000, though that fact was aided by three games being played most of those years.
Game 1[edit]
Game 1 was played at Heiwadai Baseball Stadium on July 24; attendance was 29,216. Kazuhisa Inao got the win, while Takao Kajimoto and Tetsuya Yoneda combined for five no-hit relief innings. Game MVP Jack Bloomfield and Kazuhiro Yamauchi each homered, had two runs and two RBI; Bloomfield had 3 hits. Hiroshi Gondo took the loss.
