The 1970 All-Star Game was played on Tuesday, July 14, 1970. The National League won the forty-first midsummer classic by a score of 5 to 4 in 12 innings. The game was played at Riverfront Stadium in Cincinnati, OH in front of 51,838 fans. The MVP was Carl Yastrzemski of the Boston Red Sox, despite not being on the winning team.
