Lefty Gomez of the New York Yankees started his third straight All-Star Game for the American League and pitched six innings to earn his second win. Jimmie Foxx of the Philadelphia Athletics had two hits (including a home run) and drove in three runs to lead the AL to a 4-1 victory.
