The 1997 All-Star Game was held on Tuesday, July 8, 1997. The American League won the sixty-eighth midsummer classic by a score of 3 to 1. The game was held at Jacobs Field in Cleveland, OH in front of 44,916 fans. The MVP was Sandy Alomar, Jr of the Cleveland Indians.
