The First 1962 All-Star Game was played on Tuesday, July 10, 1962. The National League won the thirty-second midsummer classic by a score of 3 to 1. The game was held at D.C. Stadium in Washington, DC in front of 45,480 fans. The first All-Star Game MVP was Maury Wills of the Los Angeles Dodgers. President John F. Kennedy attended the game and threw the ceremonial first pitch.
