The American League won the third midsummer classic at Cleveland Stadium in Cleveland, OH on Monday, July 8, 1935 by a score of 4 to 1. The league's manager was Mickey Cochrane.
Postseason[edit]
In the World Series, the American League champion Detroit Tigers defeated the National League's Chicago Cubs, 4 games to 2.
Award winners[edit]
The winner of the league's Most Valuable Player Award, given its Most Valuable Player, was Hank Greenberg, a first baseman with the Detroit Tigers. In the award's voting, he had 80 out of a possible 80 points and 8 first place votes.
