Connecticut League
The Connecticut League (also known as the Connecticut State League in 1884 to 1900 and the Connecticut Valley League) in 1903, ran from 1884-1912. When the Southern New England League disbanded on August 25, 1885, four of the five Connecticut teams re-formed the Connecticut State League. In 1902, when classifications were first assigned, it was a class D circuit. In 1905 it was upgraded to class B. In 1913 it changed its name to the Eastern Association.
