Biographical Information[edit]
Tom Bannon was the brother of outfielder Jimmy Bannon and minor leaguers George and William Bannon. He ranks #2 all-time in stolen bases in the minor leagues with 823. In 1904, he was the last of three managers for the Schenectady Electricians/Scranton Miners in the New York State League. Bannon then managed the Lowell Tigers for part of 1909, the Middletown Jewels for part of 1910, and the Wilmington Chicks in 1911. Bannon also umpired in the Ohio-Pennsylvania League in 1906 and the Eastern League in 1916 and 1917.
