Biographical Information[edit]
On October 6, 1911, pitching for the Brooklyn Dodgers, Eddie Dent was part of a record for the biggest career win differential between two starting pitchers. His opponent for the Boston Rustlers that day was Cy Young, with 511 wins, where Dent was still looking for his maiden win. He did obtain it as Young broke apart in the 7th in what was the last appearance of his glorious career, but Eddie had only three more before washing out of the majors.
