Biographical Information[edit]

John Henry was primarily a pitcher in his first three years in the majors, and then came back several years later in 1890 as an outfielder.

He broke into the majors in 1884, a year of three leagues, and finished up in 1890, another year of three leagues. In 1889-1890, he managed Hartford in the Atlantic Association.

He was born in Massachusetts in 1863, the same year that Wilbert Robinson was born there.
