Biographical Information[edit]
Eddie Files appeared in two games with the 1908 Philadelphia Athletics.
Files, from Maine, attended Bowdoin College in that state from 1905-08. He played with Reading in 1908 and came to the majors in October of 1908. Another player who made his major league debut that season with the A's was the 18-year-old Joe Jackson.
In 1909 he won 20 games for Holyoke and in 1910 he was with Providence.
