Joe Garagiola, Jr.
- School University of Notre Dame
Joe Garagiola, Jr. is the son of former catcher and legendary broadcaster Joe Garagiola. He joined the Arizona Diamondbacks front office in 1995, when the franchise was created, and was the expansion club's General Manager from when they began play in 1998 until he left the team in 2005.
He was then hired by Major League Baseball to serve as Senior Vice-President of Baseball Operations. When MLB reorganized the Baseball Operations Department following the retirement of Bob Watson and the hiring of Joe Torre after the 2010 season, Garagiola was moved to Senior Vice President of Standards and On-Field Operations. In this position, he was responsible for on-field discipline, and issues related to stadium configuration and uniforms.
In December 2018, he returned to the Diamondbacks as a special adviser to team President and CEO Derrick Hall.
