Biographical Information[edit]

Jason Bulger was drafted by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the 1st round of the 2001 amateur draft. He was signed by scout Mike Valarezo and made his pro debut the next summer. He was ineffective in 2002 and had Tommy John surgery in 2003, but returned to the bullpen in 2004 and took off. Bulger did much of his big league damage in one season, making 64 of his 125 career appearances with the 2009 Los Angeles Angels, posting a 6-1, 3.56 record and his lone big league save in 65 1/3 innings with 4 additional appearances that postseason.
