The 1986 College World Series was played at Johnny Rosenblatt Stadium in Omaha, NE from May 30 to June 9. The participating schools qualified by winning one of eight regional tournaments. The fortieth tournament's champion was the University of Arizona coached by Jerry Kindall. The Most Outstanding Player was Mike Senne of the University of Arizona.
