Biographical Information[edit]

Bob Warn was a long-time college coach.

Warn played for Southern Illinois University when they made the 1968 College World Series. He was a player-coach with the US Army at Fort Polk, LA. He was assistant at Eastern Illinois University then was 104-38 as head coach of Iowa Western Community College from 1973-1975. From 1976-2006, he was head coach at Indiana State University. He was 1,079-745-9 at ISU with a trip to the 1986 College World Series (ISU's only College World Series through 2019). He coached 21 future major leaguers, including Zane Smith and Clint Barmes. He was president of the American Baseball Coaches Association in 1997, co-authored several books on baseball and has been a guitarist and accordion player.
