The 2010 College World Series was played at Johnny Rosenblatt Stadium in Omaha, NE. The participating schools qualified by winning their Regional and Super-Regional tournaments. University of South Carolina defeated UCLA 2 games to 0 in the championship series. South Carolina OF Jackie Bradley Jr. was named the Most Outstanding Player.

The teams in the CWS are divided into two pools of four, with each pool playing a double-elimination format. The winners of the two pools meet in a best-of-three finals.

June 19 Game 1 Texas Christian University 8-1 Florida State University Matt Purke allows four hits and one unearned run in 7 innings
for the first TCU win ever at a College World Series. Purke improves to 15-0.
No team had won its CWS debut since Georgia Tech in 1994.
Game 2 UCLA 11-3 University of Florida Trevor Bauer whiffs 11 in 7 innings and becomes UCLA's
single-season strikeout record holder at 152. His club backs him up with 18 hits.
June 20 Game 3 University of Oklahoma 4-3 University of South Carolina
June 21 Game 4 Clemson University 6-3 Arizona State University Coming in 12-0, ASU ace Seth Blair walks a career-high five in 4 1/3 innings
and is charged with five runs in a loss as the top seed falls to the lowest one.
Game 5 Florida State University 8-5 University of Florida Mike McGee stars on both ends, with a 3-run homer and the save.

Game 6 UCLA 6-3 Texas Christian University Former first-rounder Gerrit Cole whiffs 13, allowing one hit
in the first six, as UCLA cruises to victory and a 2-0 start.
June 22 Game 7 University of South Carolina 11-4 Arizona State University Jackie Bradley Jr. goes three for four with four RBI to knock off the top seed
as ASU loses back-to-back games for the only time this season.
Arizona St. eliminated
June 22 & 23 Game 8 Clemson University 6-4 University of Oklahoma John Hinson gets three hits, Oklahoma OF Alex White makes a crucial error
and Scott Weismann allows just one run in five for the win.
June 23 Game 9 Texas Christian University 11-7 Florida State University TCU scores eight times in the 8th, with the
big blow being a Matt Curry grand slam.
Florida State eliminated
June 24 Game 10 University of South Carolina 3-2 (12 inn) University of Oklahoma Oklahoma goes up 2-1 on a homer by Tyler Ogle off Ethan Carter in the 12th.
In the bottom of the 12th, Jackie Bradley Jr. drives in Robert Beary with
the tying run. Brady Thomas then singles home the winner off Ryan Duke.
Oklahoma eliminated
June 25 Game 11 Texas Christian University 6-2 UCLA Matt Purke allowed 3 hits, 2 walks and one run in 6 1/3 IP give TCU the win,
improving to 16-0 on the year. Tyler Lockwood gets his 8th save.
Game 12 University of South Carolina 5-1 Clemson University USC stays alive thanks to a 3-hit, 1-run effort by Michael Roth, usually a reliever.
June 26 Game 13 UCLA 10-3 Texas Christian University Trevor Bauer fans 13 and gives up four hits in 8 innings to eliminate TCU,
which made a fine show in its first Series. TCU starter Kyle Winkler retires none,
plunking Beau Amaral, giving up a Niko Gallego single and a homer to Blair Dunlap.
TCU eliminated
Game 14 University of South Carolina 4-3 Clemson University Christian Walker homers then gives the go-ahead single in the 7th
as South Carolina ousts its cross-state rivals in back-to-back back-to-the-wall wins.
Clemson eliminated
June 28 Game 16 University of South Carolina 7-1 UCLA South Carolina roughs up UCLA's Gerrit Cole for 11 hits and six runs
in seven innings. For the Gamecocks, senior Blake Cooper gives up
only 3 hits and one run in 8-plus innings on three days' rest.
June 29 Game 17 University of South Carolina 2-1 (11 inn) UCLA The last CWS game played at Rosenblatt Stadium is one to remember.
For the first time in 40 years, the finale goes extra innings.
South Carolina also becomes the first team to win their last six games
in a row at a CWS. Michael Roth tosses four shutout innings before
giving up one in the 5th on a Niko Gallego single.
Rob Rasmussen of UCLA, meanwhile, tossed blanks for six innings.
In the 8th, South Carolina tied in thanks to an error
by UCLA 1B Dean Espy, scoring Robert Beary. In the 9th, UCLA
loaded the bases with two outs against Matt Price but Gallego struck out.
Brett Krill opened the 11th for South Carolina with a hard liner off Price
but Jackie Bradley Jr. caught it at the warning track. In the bottom of the 11th,
Scott Wingo drew a seven-pitch walk from Dan Klein, who entered unbeaten.
A passed ball put Wingo on second. Evan Marzilli bunted Wingo to third.
Klein fell behind Whit Merrifield 2-0 before Merrifield singled in the winning run.
