The 2010 College World Series was played at Johnny Rosenblatt Stadium in Omaha, NE. The participating schools qualified by winning their Regional and Super-Regional tournaments. University of South Carolina defeated UCLA 2 games to 0 in the championship series. South Carolina OF Jackie Bradley Jr. was named the Most Outstanding Player.

The teams in the CWS are divided into two pools of four, with each pool playing a double-elimination format. The winners of the two pools meet in a best-of-three finals.

June 29 | Game 17 | University of South Carolina | 2-1 (11 inn) | UCLA | The last CWS game played at Rosenblatt Stadium is one to remember. For the first time in 40 years, the finale goes extra innings. South Carolina also becomes the first team to win their last six games in a row at a CWS. Michael Roth tosses four shutout innings before giving up one in the 5th on a Niko Gallego single. Rob Rasmussen of UCLA, meanwhile, tossed blanks for six innings. In the 8th, South Carolina tied in thanks to an error by UCLA 1B Dean Espy, scoring Robert Beary. In the 9th, UCLA loaded the bases with two outs against Matt Price but Gallego struck out. Brett Krill opened the 11th for South Carolina with a hard liner off Price but Jackie Bradley Jr. caught it at the warning track. In the bottom of the 11th, Scott Wingo drew a seven-pitch walk from Dan Klein, who entered unbeaten. A passed ball put Wingo on second. Evan Marzilli bunted Wingo to third. Klein fell behind Whit Merrifield 2-0 before Merrifield singled in the winning run. South Carolina wins CWS |
