Biographical Information[edit]
Dave Snow was a longtime college baseball coach for a number of schools around Southern California. He began his coaching career as an assistant under Augie Garrido's Cal State Fullerton teams from 1973-77. He then went on to his first head coaching job at Los Angeles Valley College from 1978-1982. He was then again an assistant at Cal State Fullerton in 1983-84 where he was on the staff for the 1984 College World Series champion Titans. Loyola Marymount University from 1985 to 1988 where he led the Lions to their first College World Series appearance. He was then the head coach at Long Beach State from 1989 to 2001. He led Long Beach State to four College World Series appearances. Jason Giambi and Bobby Crosby were among his players over the years. He coached Team USA in the 1992 Olympics.
As a player, Snow competed at Cerritos College in 1969-1970, and California State Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo in 1971-72 playing third base. At Cal Poly SLO, he would play under his future coaching mentor in Garrido.
