Team History[edit]
The Palm Beach Cardinals, of the Florida State League and briefly in Low-A Southeast, are half of the two farm teams that share their home with another affiliated club. The St. Louis Cardinals farmhands play their home games at Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium in Jupiter, FL, which they share with the Jupiter Hammerheads of the same league.
Like seven of the other nine FSL clubs, these Cards are owned by their parent club. Before the big Cards acquired the little Cards in the 2002-2003 off-season, the St. Louis affiliation was with the Carolina League's Potomac Cannons and the FSL franchise was in Port Charlotte, FL, playing as the Texas Rangers' High-A farm club.
In 2005, the Cardinals won the FSL championship.
MLB's 2021 Minor League Reorganization lowered the Cards, and most of the FSL, one level.
Year-by-Year Record[edit]
- In 2017, the championship series between Palm Beach and Dunedin was cancelled because of Hurricane Irma; both teams were declared Co-Champions.
