Biographical Information[edit]
Derrick May, son of Dave May, was signed by the Chicago Cubs and scouts Billy Blitzer and Brandy Davis as a 1st round pick in the 1986 amateur draft. In 2016, he was named assistant hitting coach of the St. Louis Cardinals after third-base coach Jose Oquendo underwent knee surgery and had to miss the season, leading to a domino effect of changes in the coaching staff.
