Biographical Information[edit]
Oliver Marmol was released from the Palm Beach Cardinals on July 21, 2010 and immediately began a coaching career. In 2017, he was named first base coach of the St. Louis Cardinals, staying until the end of the 2018 season. In 2020, he was named the team's bench coach. Following the firing of manager Mike Shildt after the 2021 season, his name emerged as the leading candidate to replace him. His appointment was made official on October 25th.
