Biographical information[edit]

Jeff Albert was an independent league infielder who played in a total of 11 games in his career.

While with Butler University in 2002, he hit .331 in 50 games, though in 2003, he hit only .240 in 54 games. He was signed by the Washington Wild Things of the Frontier League in 2003, with whom he hit .176 in 9 games (17 at-bats). In 2007, he played with the Shreveport Sports - he spent two games with them, hitting .000 in four at-bats.

Overall, he hit .143 in 21 at-bats. He had one extra base hit, a double.

He became a coach in the St. Louis Cardinals minor league system in 2008 before switching to the Houston Astros in 2013. He returned to St. Louis in 2019 when he was named the Cardinals hitting coach, replacing Mark Budaska who had held the position on an interim basis. He stayed until the end of the 2022 season. He became the Director of Hitting for the New York Mets in 2023.
