Biographical information[edit]
Ace Adams was a collegiate assistant coach for thirteen years at University of Michigan (1989-1996), Brandeis University (1986-1989), Harvard University (1985) and Dartmouth College (1984). He was also a traveling batting practice pitcher for the Boston Red Sox in 1984-1986.
Adams coached in the Montreal Expos (1998-2001) and Florida Marlins (2002) chains with the Vermont Expos in 1998 and Jupiter Hammerheads in 2001-2002. He was a pitching coach in the Red Sox chain from 2003 to 2006 for the Lowell Spinners (2003), Augusta GreenJackets (2004), Wilmington Blue Rocks (2005), and Portland Sea Dogs (2006). Adams was a coach for the Quad Cities River Bandits in 2008-2009, Batavia Muckdogs in 2010-2011, Quad Cities again in 2012 and Palm Beach Cardinals in 2013-2014 in the St. Louis Cardinals' chain. Moving to the Houston Astros' organization, Adams was pitching coach of the Fresno Grizzlies in 2015. Moving again, this time to the Detroit Tigers, Adams was a coach for the Connecticut Tigers in 2016-2017.
