College World Series
(Redirected from NCAA Division I Baseball Championship)
The Road to Omaha culminates in the College World Series. This tournament determines the winner of the NCAA Division I Baseball championship. Played in Omaha, NE's TD Ameritrade Park Omaha since 2011 (previously calling Rosenblatt Stadium home), the College World Series involves eight teams separated into two pools of four with a winner determined by a double-elimination format. The two surviving teams then go on to play in a best two-of-three series. The 2020 edition was canceled due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
Previously the series format was an 8-team double-elimination tournament, with just one championship game.
Warren Morris, of Louisiana State University hit the most famous home run in CWS history.
