From BR Bullpen

The 1957 Pacific Coast League season was the 55th season in the league's history. It ended with the San Francisco Seals winning their first league championship since 1946.

This was the final season before the New York Giants and Brooklyn Dodgers moved to California, and the final one under the Open Classification. As a result, the Seals, Hollywood Stars and Los Angeles Angels played their final seasons in the PCL.
