Miles Wolff moved to Greensboro, NC in 1949. He was supply officer in the United States Navy from 1967 to 1970 on the USS Charles P. Cecil and USS Puget Sound.

- Commissioner of the Northern League from 1992 - 2002
- Commissioner of the Can-Am Association
- Commissioner of the American Association
- Commissioner of the Central Baseball League
- Owner and President of Burlington Indians as of 1997
- Author of Lunch at the Five and Ten and Season of the Owl
- Editor of The Encyclopedia of Minor League Baseball
- Owner of Durham Bulls from 1980 to 1990
- Owner of Les Capitales de Québec from 1999 to present
- Owner of Elmira Pioneers from 2009 to present
- Former General Manager of Savannah Braves, Anderson Braves, and a Jacksonville, FL team
