Biographical Information[edit]
Jim Marshall was in the majors for five seasons, getting into 410 games. He was in the minors for eight seasons, hitting over 200 home runs. Jim played for the Chunichi Dragons in Japan from 1963 to 1965 and coached for Chunichi from 1981 to 1983.
Marshall was a coach for the Chicago Cubs in 1974 until taking over as manager in mid-season.
In 1990, he managed the Sun City Rays of the Senior Professional Baseball Association until the league ceased operations in December.
In 2011, Marshall served as Senior Advisor, Pacific Rim Operations for the Arizona Diamondbacks.
