The Sun City Rays, based in Sun City, Arizona, joined the Senior Professional Baseball Association in 1990 for the league's second season. They ceased operation when the circuit folded in December of that year. The Sun City Rays' record at the time the league folded was 13-10 and they were in 2nd place in the league. Some notable players on the team were Bill Campbell, Juan Eichelberger, Rollie Fingers, Fergie Jenkins, Pete LaCock and Len Randle.
