The 1948 Pacific Coast League season was the 46th season in the league's history. It ended with the Oakland Oaks winning their first league championship since 1927. The league had its first black players since Jimmy Claxton in 1916 as John Ritchey debuted on Opening Day and would be joined by Artie Wilson, Booker McDaniels and Alonzo Perry before the end of the season.
