Biographical Information[edit]
Jim Brillheart pitched in pro ball from 1921 to 1951. As a big leaguer, he was 8-9 with a 4.19 ERA in 86 games over four seasons, primarily with the Washington Senators. In the minor leagues, he pitched 4,887 innings in 956 games (2nd most appearances all-time behind Bill Thomas) with a 309-266 record and 3.91 ERA. He led the American Association in games pitched in 1928, 1929, and 1930. Brillheart managed the 1946 and 1948 San Diego Padres, 1948, 1950-1951 Tacoma Tigers and the 1949 Spokane Indians.
