1982 Pacific Coast League season

From BR Bullpen

The 1982 Pacific Coast League season was the 80th season in the league's history. It ended with the Albuquerque Dukes winning their third straight league title. The Dukes became the first PCL team to win three straight titles since the San Francisco Seals won four straight from 1943 to 1946.

The playoff format was modified slightly this season. If a team won its division in both halves, then it would face the team with the second-best overall record in the first round. Also, the championship series was expanded to a best-of-seven format.

Despite making the finals, this was the final season for the Spokane Indians.
