1909 Pacific Coast League season
After two seasons as a four-team league, the 1909 Pacific Coast League season was played under a six-team format.
Five pitchers threw no-hitters during the season: Elmer Koestner of Los Angeles against San Francisco on April 16th; Jimmy Wiggs of Oakland versus San Francisco on May 13th; Frank Browning of San Francisco against Sacramento on July 5th; Al Carson of Portland versus Los Angeles on July 22nd; and Spec Harkness of Portland against Vernon on August 15th.
