1993 Pacific Coast League season

From BR Bullpen

The 1993 Pacific Coast League season was the 91st season in the league's history. It ended with the Tucson Toros winning their second league championship in three years.

Since the Toros and Portland Beavers won both halves of their respective divisions, the PCL did away with semifinal playoffs and held a best-of-seven championship series instead. It was the first time since the split-season format was instituted in 1979 that two teams won both halves of the season.

After the season, the Beavers were sold and moved to Salt Lake City, UT.
