Team History[edit]

ColoradoSpringsSkySox.jpg

The Colorado Springs Sky Sox began play in the Pacific Coast League in 1988 when the Hawaii Islanders relocated to Colorado. They have captured two league titles, in 1992 as an Indians farm team, and in 1995 as a Rockies affiliate. After the 2018 season the AAA franchise will move to San Antonio, TX and take over the San Antonio Missions name. Colorado Springs will stay in minor league ball getting a Pioneer League team called the Rocky Mountain Vibes, replacing the Helena Brewers in that league.

A previous Sky Sox team was a White Sox affiliate in the Western League in the 1950s.
