Biographical Information[edit]

Chuck Kniffin pitched for Fiorentina in Italy in 1984. He went 8-2 with a 3.30 ERA in the Coppa Italia. He helped the team win the event (for teams that did not qualify for the championship pool). He won the most games in the Coppa Italia that year.

He was pitching coach for the Wausau Timbers in 1988, San Bernardino Spirit in 1989-1991, West Palm Beach Expos in 1992, Harrisburg Senators in 1993, West Palm Beach again in 1994, Ottawa Lynx in 1995 and 1996, High Desert Mavericks in 1997, and Tucson Sidewinders from 1998-2001. He was in the big leagues as pitching coach for the Arizona Diamondbacks from 2002 to 2004. Kniffin was the pitching coach for the Syracuse Sky Chiefs in 2005 and Colorado Springs Sky Sox in 2006-2009. He retired after the 2009 season.
