Biographical Information[edit]
Ira Hutchinson was born in Chicago, died in Chicago, made his major league debut for the Chicago White Sox, and spent 18 years as a minor league manager for Chicago.
He began his managerial career with the Wisconsin Rapids White Sox in 1951. He stayed in the White Sox chain through 1967. He then moved up to Advertising Director for the Chicago White Sox for two years. In 1970, he returned to the minors for one last year with the Appleton Foxes. Overall his teams were 1168-1107.
