Postseason[edit]
The Osaka Tigers and Tokyo Kyojin, winners of the Spring and Fall seasons respectively, met after the season to determine a league champion. The first game was played on November 26 at Nishinomiya's Koshien Stadium and was won by the Tigers 3 - 2. On the following day the Tigers again defeated the Giants by one-run, 5 - 4. The series then moved to Tokyo's Korakuen Stadium for the middle set of games. The Tigers continued their winning ways, defeating the Giants 5 - 3 on December 1. On December 2, the Tigers won the fourth game by a score of 4 - 2, and the series in a four game sweep of the Kyojin.

High School Baseball[edit]
The 24th National High School Baseball Championship featured a total of 633 schools competing for 22 spots in the finals at Koshien. In the championship game Heian High School (Kyoto) defeated Gifu Shogyo High School (Gifu) by a score of 2 - 1.
The 15th National High School Baseball Invitational Tournament featured 20 schools competing in the tournament at Koshien. In the championship game Chukyo University Senior High School (Aichi) defeated Toho High School (Aichi) by a score of 1 - 1.
