From BR Bullpen

Korakuen Stadium was a stadium in Tokyo, Japan. It was primarily used for baseball and was home of the Yomiuri Giants from at least 1937 until they moved to the Tokyo Dome, which sits on the site of Korakuen Stadium, in 1988. The stadium was host to the Japan Series in over 2/3 of the years the Series and stadium both existed as it was home to Yomiuri during their best years. The ballpark had a capacity of 50,000 people. It also hosted the Japanese Baseball Hall of Fame and saw the first NFL game held outside the United States in 1976. It also hosted the Mirage Bowl.
