Professional Baseball[edit]
High School Baseball[edit]
The 11th National High School Baseball Championship featured a total of 302 schools competing for 21 spots in the finals at Koshien. In the championship game Takamatsu Commercial High School (Kagawa) defeated Waseda Jitsugyo High School (Tokyo) by a score of 5 - 3.
The second National High School Baseball Invitational Tournament featured 12 schools competing in the tournament at Koshien. In the championship game Matsuyama Shogyo High School (Ehime) defeated Takamatsu Commercial High School (Kagawa) by a score of 3 - 2.
University Baseball[edit]
Koyasan University, Ritsumeikan University, and Senshu University form baseball clubs.
Tokyo Big6 Baseball League[edit]
After Tokyo Imperial University joins the Five Universities League, bringing its membership to six. The league is renamed the Tokyo Big6 Baseball League and plays its first league schedule in the fall. The Soukeisen, a home-home series between the teams of Waseda and Keio is revived after ten years.
