West Texas League
There were two attempts at a West Texas League in the 1920s. Both were class D leagues. The first one lasted from 1920 through 1922 then became the even shorter-lived Panhandle-Pecos Valley League.
The WTL was revived in 1928 but was gone by 1930.
The league was mentioned in a 1905 Dallas "Morning News". (No microfilm available) with teams in Ballinger, Brownwood, Dublin and San Angelo.
